Concrete Resurfacing in Eastern Suburbs
Character homes, heritage courtyards and shaded rear access.

In short
Across Bassendean, Bayswater, Maylands, Morley, Guildford, Midland, High Wycombe and Forrestfield we resurface older concrete: rear courtyards, narrow side paths and driveways poured in stages over decades. Warmer sand, ochre and red-brown palettes drawn from the local brickwork suit these homes, and shaded rear areas get moss and organic growth dealt with properly at prep stage.

The eastern suburbs bring older housing stock and, with it, older concrete: rear courtyards, narrow side paths and driveways poured in stages over decades.
Character homes reward warmer palettes - sand, ochre and soft red-brown tones drawn from the brickwork - and smaller pattern formats that suit the era.
Shaded rear areas need moss and organic growth addressed properly at prep stage, plus a non-slip topcoat as standard.
Older concrete needs more preparation, not less
Decades of oil, paint spots, moss and previous coatings all have to come off before anything bonds. On character-home work we allow for mechanical grinding, crack chasing and a hot degrease as normal inclusions rather than variations.
Where a slab has been poured in stages, control joints are honoured in the new pattern so movement has somewhere to go.
- Moss and organic growth killed and removed, not just pressure washed
- Cracks chased out and filled before the overlay goes on
- Existing joints carried through into the finished pattern
Colours that suit a character home
Red-brown and ochre bases pulled from the existing brickwork sit far better on a 1950s or 1960s home than a cold contemporary grey, and smaller pattern formats suit the scale of the era.

Questions we get from Eastern Suburbs
- My side path is always damp and slippery. Can it be fixed?
- Yes. The growth is removed and treated at prep stage and the new surface gets a non-slip topcoat. Shaded areas still need an occasional wash, but the surface stops being slick.
- Can you resurface concrete that has been patched several times?
- Usually. If the patches are sound and bonded, they are ground back and unified under one pattern. Loose or drummy sections are cut out first.
- Do you work in heritage-listed streets?
- We do, and we keep colour and pattern sympathetic to the era. If your property has heritage conditions, check them before approving a colour.
- Do you service Midland and the eastern fringe?
- Yes, out through Midland, High Wycombe and Forrestfield as part of our standard service area.
