Colour Sealer

Re-sealing and re-colouring existing spray paving, stencil concrete and plain slabs to bring back colour, sheen and protection.

Sealer is the wearing layer. On most Perth surfaces it needs renewing every few years, and once it has worn back the colour flattens, the surface picks up dirt and the concrete underneath starts getting damaged - sealer protects this from happening.

A colour seal - often called a clean and seal, cleans the surface back, repairs what needs repairing and re-establishes the coloured sealer film, either matching the existing colour or shifting it to the customers preference.

It is also the most affordable option we offer: a colour seal typically comes in at 20-30% of the cost of a full resurfacing, because the existing pattern and overlay stay in place.

Maintenance, not a rebuild

Colour sealing is the cheapest way to keep a decorative surface looking current. It does not fix structural problems - a slab that has moved needs the foundation addressed first.

It is quick work compared to a full overlay, and most residential jobs are completed and back in use within a couple of days depending on weather.

  • Existing spray paving and stencil concrete that has dulled
  • Plain or exposed aggregate concrete needing protection
  • Colour changes without re-doing the pattern
  • Adding non-slip grit to pool surrounds and steps

Process

  1. 01

    Assess

We check how much sealer is left, how sound the surface is and whether any pattern or overlay repair is needed first.

  2. 02

    Clean

Pressure clean, degrease and treat any oil, moss or organic staining.

  3. 03

    Repair

Chips, hairline cracks and worn edges are patched and blended before sealing.

  4. 04

    Seal

Coloured sealer is applied in coats at the specified spread rate, with grit added where slip resistance is required.

Colour chart

Indicative only - screens shift colour, so final selection is made from physical sample boards on site. Solvent and water based sealers are tinted to the colour you choose, including Colorbond-matched options to tie in with roofs, fences and trim.

Common questions

How often should a surface be re-sealed?
Typically every three to five years in Perth, sooner on north-facing driveways and heavily trafficked areas.
Can you change the colour?
Yes. The sealer carries the colour, so a re-seal in a different tone changes the look without touching the pattern.
Will it fix cracks?
We patch chips and hairline cracks as part of prep, but a slab with active movement needs that cause addressed first.
How long until we can drive on it?
Foot traffic is usually the same day or next day and vehicles a couple of days later, depending on weather. Exact times are confirmed on the day.
