Grip on a steep driveway
A smooth sealed surface on a steep grade is a genuine hazard in winter. Hills driveways get a textured base finish and a broadcast non-slip additive in the topcoat so the surface still bites when wet.

- Is spray-on paving slippery on a steep hills driveway?
- Not when it is specified correctly. A textured finish with non-slip broadcast through the topcoat gives good wet grip; a smooth glossy seal on a steep grade does not, and we do not recommend it here.
- Can you resurface a very long driveway in stages?
- Yes. Long runs are commonly split so you retain vehicle access to the house through the works wherever the layout allows.
- Will tree tannin stain the new surface?
- Leaf litter left to sit will mark any surface. A sealed overlay is far easier to wash clean than bare concrete, and an annual wash keeps it in good order.
