Process

Our Process. No shortcuts.

Preparation decides whether a decorative surface lasts a decade or two years. Here is the sequence we follow on every job.

Footage from a real Spray Pave Perth job - preparation, application and the finished surface.

  1. Stage 01

    Site inspection

We measure, check falls, edges and expansion joints, test the substrate for soundness and identify anything that must be repaired before coating. You get a written quote against a defined scope.

    • Measured areas and m²
    • Substrate soundness check
    • Colour and pattern sampling

  2. Stage 02

    Surface preparation & pressure clean

The stage that decides whether the job lasts. High-pressure cleaning, degreasing of oil-affected zones, treatment of moss and organic growth, and grinding back any failed coating or laitance.

    • High-pressure clean
    • Degrease and decontaminate
    • Grind back failed coatings

  3. Stage 03

    Repairs & crack treatment

Cracks are chased out and filled, edges and spalled sections rebuilt, and likely movement lines planned into the pattern so any future movement is disguised rather than fought.

    • Crack chasing and filling
    • Edge and spall repair
    • Expansion joints honoured

  4. Stage 04

    Spray application

The slab is primed and the polymer-modified overlay is sprayed in passes to an even build. Falls and drainage are unchanged because the overlay follows the existing profile.

    • Primer coat
    • Multiple overlay passes
    • Even build across the area

  5. Stage 05

    Stencil, pattern & colour

Stencils are laid and colour applied while the overlay is workable, then lifted to reveal crisp joint lines. Base and joint tones were agreed at inspection against the house.

    • Pattern set out to scale
    • Base and joint tones applied
    • Cut lines and terminations

  6. Stage 06

    Sealing & aftercare

Two coats of UV-stable sealer, with a non-slip additive wherever the surface is used wet. You get cure times, cleaning guidance and a re-seal interval in writing.

    • Two-coat sealing
    • Non-slip where required
    • Written aftercare and cure times
